Women's Lacrosse Welcomes Eight In Class Of 2028 - Princeton University Athletics (2024)

An accomplished group of young women is headed to Princeton this fall as eight talented newcomers join the Princeton Women's Lacrosse program as members of the Class of 2028.

The Tigers will welcome three attackers, three midfielders, a defender and a goalie to the program, adding skill and depth to all four position groups ahead of head coach Jenn Cook's third season at the helm of the group.

"I like the infusion of talent in all areas, it adds some new looks and competition up and down our lineup," she said. "We're coming off a very good 2024, but there's still so much fire within our team to get even better and make even more noise in May. This crop of newcomers has already acclimated well to the Tiger family and is only going to improve this fall ahead of 2025. They're all capable of doing special things on the field and as part of the Princeton community, I can't wait to have everyone together again at '52 and start to work towards our collective goals."

Five of the newcomers have earned All-American honors during their high school careers, and two are ranked among ILWomen.com's Top-50 recruits in defender Zoe Bye (#36) and goalie Elizabeth Gonnella (#45). Five of the eight new Tigers have won at least one championship in high school, while seven were named captain at least once during their high school careers.
